Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Gruul tribal aggro deck led by Tovolar, Dire Overlord. The primary strategy focuses on curving out aggressive one- and two-drop Wolves and Werewolves, casting Tovolar on Turn 3, and immediately converting unblocked combat damage into massive card advantage. By maintaining three or more tribal creatures, Tovolar automatically shifts the game to Night at the start of upkeep, transforming undercosted creatures into high-powered threats with built-in evasion, trample, and stat buffs. The deck leverages its heavy card draw into game-ending combat multipliers such as Shared Animosity, Beastmaster Ascension, Triumph of the Hordes, and Craterhoof Behemoth.
