Deck overview

This Orzhov deck is commanded by Edgar, Charmed Groom // Edgar Markov's Coffin and focuses on a synergistic Vampire tribal strategy blended with incremental lifegain and drain mechanics. The deck develops early board presence with low-cost vampires before deploying Edgar on Turn 4 to provide a static +1/+1 anthem and a resilient token-generating coffin upon death. As life totals climb, payoffs like Elenda, Saint of Dusk, Cliffhaven Vampire, and Astarion, the Decadent turn lifegain into lethal combat pressure and life loss across the table. In addition to steady beatdown, the deck contains the game-ending two-card combo of Exquisite Blood and Sanguine Bond, which loops infinitely off any life shift. While the deck boasts solid tribal redundancy and commander resilience, its velocity is constrained by low mana ramp, tap-lands, and a lack of tutors and instant-speed noncreature interaction.
