Deck overview

This Izzet storm deck aims to assemble critical mana velocity across the early turns, deploy its commander Prismari, the Inspiration, and win in a single explosive turn. The commander grants storm to every instant and sorcery cast, turning simple rituals into massive mana engines and turning cantrips into full hand refills. Once the storm count reaches 9, the deck tutors for or draws into Prologue to Phyresis, which copies 9 times on the stack to assign 10 poison counters to every opponent simultaneously. The list features dense functional redundancy with cheap card draw, efficient red rituals, and instant-speed stack interaction. If the commander is removed or unavailable, the deck pivots smoothly into an alternate line powered by Underworld Breach and Brain Freeze, which uses native storm to mill out the table. The strategy is fast, highly linear, and compressed, though vulnerable to well-timed creature countermagic and rule of law effects.
