Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Gruul aggro list led by Bello, Bard of the Brambles. Bello turns every non-Equipment artifact and non-Aura enchantment with mana value 4 or greater into an indestructible, hasty 4/4 Elemental during your turn that draws a card whenever it deals combat damage. The deck uses an extensive ramp package of 18 low-cost spells to cast Bello on turn 3 and begin deploying heavy noncreature permanents by turn 4. On turn 5, damage doublers like Unnatural Growth, Gratuitous Violence, and Berserkers' Onslaught elevate the animated board into a lethal attacking force that draws multiple cards each combat. Opponents receive only a single response cycle before finishers like Craterhoof Behemoth or Akroma's Memorial close the game on turn 6. Efficient protection spells shield Bello against removal, while mass exile effects like Farewell represent its main vulnerability.
