Garland, Royal Kidnapper spearheads a Dimir control and theft strategy focused on turning opponents' best cards against them. Garland introduces the monarch mechanic, allowing you to seize opposing creatures whenever monarch status changes while granting stolen creatures a static +2/+2 buff and sacrifice protection. The deck develops through early disruption, card advantage, and goad effects like Bloodthirsty Blade and Jon Irenicus, Shattered One before deploying high-impact theft spells such as Agent of Treachery, Bribery, and Thieving Amalgam.
