Deck overview

Teval, Arbiter of Virtue leads a Sultai graveyard engine that turns self-mill into explosive mana velocity. Teval grants delve to all spells you cast, letting you exile cards from your graveyard to pay generic mana costs, balanced by life loss equal to each spell's mana value. The deck fills its graveyard rapidly using efficient mill creatures and cantrips like Stitcher's Supplier, Grisly Salvage, and Consider. Once Teval enters on Turn 4, you can cast game-altering high-mana spells for just their colored pips. Payoffs like Vilis, Broker of Blood convert the self-inflicted life loss into massive card draw, while Repay in Kind turns low life totals into an immediate lethal threat for the table. Protection pieces like Snakeskin Veil and Tyvar's Stand shield key threats, and backup reanimation lines through Reanimate and Six ensure the engine continues even if opponents remove Teval.
