Deck overview

This deck executes an aggressive Abzan toxic and proliferate strategy led by Vishgraz, the Doomhive. The deck aims to infect every opponent with an initial poison counter in the early turns using cheap toxic creatures like Skrelv, Defector Mite, Crawling Chorus, and Venerated Rotpriest. On turn 4, Vishgraz enters the battlefield, immediately creating three 1/1 toxic Phyrexian Mite tokens while growing in power for every poison counter opponents hold. On turn 5, high-impact Praetors and proliferate engines like Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider, Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines, and Contaminant Grafter turn every attack into multiple poison counters. Efficient protection spells such as Flawless Maneuver and Eerie Interlude shield the swarm from sweepers, while asymmetric wipes like Phyresis Outbreak clear opposing blockers. The deck reliably overwhelms the entire pod with 10 poison counters by turn 7.
