Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Izzet Pirate tribal and tempo strategy led by partner commanders Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator and Breeches, Brazen Plunderer. The game plan revolves around curving low-cost, evasive Pirates into Malcolm on Turn 2 and Breeches on Turn 3 or 4. Connecting with Pirates generates rapid Treasure acceleration and exiles opponents' libraries for massive card advantage. Treasure reserves fund high-impact tribal finishers like Shared Animosity, Kindred Charge, and Port Razer, closing the game through overwhelming combat damage by Turn 7. In addition to combat aggro, the deck includes a compact two-card infinite combo between Malcolm and Glint-Horn Buccaneer, capable of instantly killing the table during combat. Supported by efficient countermagic and one-sided sweepers like Fiery Cannonade and Raise the Palisade, the deck maintains board dominance while continuously depleting opponents' life totals.
