Deck overview

This Boros deck executes a dedicated Dwarf tribal and Treasure engine led by Thorin, King of Durin's Folk. Built around the thematic Company of Thorin, the deck focuses on curving low-cost Dwarf creatures and combat Equipment into an explosive mid-game. When Thorin enters the battlefield, every subsequent Dwarf creates a Treasure token, which in turn fuels an escalating static power buff across the entire team. Secondary engines like Magda, Brazen Outlaw convert accumulated Treasures into high-impact artifacts or Dragons like Smaug the Magnificent. The deck achieves victory through compounding combat damage, using trample, double strike, and evasion enablers to push through opposing defenses. While highly synergistic and resilient to single-target removal via targeted protection and equipment, the strategy relies heavily on maintaining a wide permanent base across multiple turn rotations.
