Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Grixis Midrange Reanimator list helmed by Sauron, the Dark Lord. The strategy focuses on accelerating mana in the opening turns using cost-reducing Medallions, rocks, and black rituals to land Sauron by Turn 4. Once on the battlefield, Sauron's Ward makes him difficult to remove, and his passive ability converts every opposing spell into an expanding Orc Army. Attacking with the Army triggers the Ring Temptation, allowing the pilot to discard high-cost creatures into the graveyard while drawing four fresh cards. The deck leverages this full graveyard with efficient recursion like Reanimate, Victimize, and Living Death to deploy oppressive threats such as Toxrill, the Corrosive and massive Dragons. Supported by free commander-enabled countermagic and unconditional removal, the deck controls the stack and board before closing out the table with lethal combat damage around Turn 7.
