Deck overview

This competitive Izzet storm and spellslinger combo deck leverages Vivi Ornitier as both a high-velocity colored mana engine and a lethal table-wide win condition. Vivi grows and deals 1 noncombat damage to each opponent whenever its controller casts a noncreature spell, while its tap-free {0} ability converts its accumulated power directly into colored mana. The primary win line pairs Vivi with Isochron Scepter imprinting Dramatic Reversal to generate infinite noncreature spell casts, untaps, and lethal burn on Turn 3. Robust backup lines include Underworld Breach with Brain Freeze and Stella Lee, Wild Card with Twisted Fealty. The list is heavily protected by format-standard free counterspells, proactive silence pieces like Defense Grid and Hexing Squelcher, and card engines like Curiosity, Rhystic Study, and Mystic Remora.
