Deck overview

This Orzhov deck leverages Bartolomé del Presidio in the command zone paired with Lurrus of the Dream-Den as a companion. Because Lurrus requires all permanents in the starting deck to have a mana value of 2 or less, the list operates an ultra-low mana curve packed with cheap sacrificial fodder, efficient mana dorks, and redundant aristocrat drain creatures like Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Elas il-Kor. The deck creates steady early card flow by looping small utility artifacts and creatures through Lurrus, while Bartolomé grows into a massive threat from free sacrifices. To overcome the low individual power of its creatures, the deck utilizes high-cost sorcery-speed mass reanimation spells such as Living Death, Command the Dreadhorde, and Ascend from Avernus to flood the board from the graveyard, triggering a wave of enters-the-battlefield and death triggers that rapidly drains the entire table.
