Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Esper combo-control build commanded by Zur the Enchanter. The primary game plan accelerates into a Turn 3 Zur, attacking on Turn 4 to put Solemnity directly onto the battlefield. Combining Solemnity with an undying creature (Geralf's Messenger) and a free sacrifice outlet (Viscera Seer or Dimir House Guard) creates an infinite life-drain loop that immediately eliminates all three opponents. If the primary creature line is contested, the deck pivots into secondary Solemnity locks with Phyrexian Unlife, or draws massive card advantage with Necropotence and Rhystic Study. A suite of efficient countermagic, silence effects, and split-second removal protects the combo and disrupts faster strategies.
