Deck overview

This Dimir Rogue deck is commanded by Anowon, the Ruin Thief, executing a tempo-oriented tribal strategy that blends evasive combat damage with incremental and burst mill. Early turns prioritize establishing low-curve Rogues with unblockable, shadow, or flying abilities, such as Changeling Outcast and Slither Blade. Once Anowon hits the battlefield on Turn 4, these evasive attackers trigger lord buffs, mill opposing libraries for damage dealt, and generate recurring card advantage whenever creature cards hit graveyards. The deck translates early attrition into decisive mid-game pressure around Turn 6 using explosive payoffs like Notorious Throng, Breach the Multiverse, and Bruvac the Grandiloquent combined with Maddening Cacophony. A supportive suite of countermagic, graveyard theft, and asymmetric hate pieces like Dauthi Voidwalker and Notion Thief keeps opponents off-balance while evasive combat damage and depleted libraries close the game by Turn 8.
