Commander: Winota, Joiner of Forces

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a high-tempo Boros stax-aggro deck helmed by Winota, Joiner of Forces, one of the most explosive combat-based value engines in the format. The strategy revolves around deploying cheap non-Human creatures (0-drops like Kobolds of Kher Keep and Ornithopter, plus Gingerbrute and haste bodies) as attack triggers, then using Winota's ability to cheat powerful Human creatures directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking with indestructible. The deck layers in a dense rule-of-law stax package-Eidolon of Rhetoric, Archon of Emeria, Ethersworn Canonist, Deafening Silence-to lock opponents out of casting multiple spells per turn while Winota's triggered ability bypasses that restriction. Extra-combat enablers like Port Razer and Combat Celebrant chain multiple Winota triggers in a single turn, creating exponential board presence. The primary path to victory is overwhelming combat damage from a rapidly assembled, indestructible Human army, with Angrath's Marauders and Blade Historian acting as damage multipliers. The deck is built for fast starts and can win on turns 5-6 if opponents cannot answer the opening board.
