Zax Deck Check by Kyukyukyukon

Format: Commander

Commander: Zaxara, the Exemplary

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Sultai X-spell value deck helmed by Zaxara, the Exemplary. The core plan is to ramp quickly, deploy Zaxara as both a two-mana rock and a Hydra factory, then cast high-impact X spells to flood the board with enormous Hydra tokens while refilling the hand. Token doublers like Doubling Season and Parallel Lives plus X-matters engines (Unbound Flourishing, Zimone, Infinite Analyst, Owlin Spiralmancer) turn every X cast into exponential board presence. Primary wins come from overwhelming combat with trampling Hydras and Fractals, backed by drain finishers (Exsanguinate, the prepared face of Stensian Sanguinist // Exsanguinate) and cheat-cast piles via Villainous Wealth. Finale of Devastation at high X closes games outright. The deck plays as a midrange ramp strategy that snowballs once Zaxara and a doubler stick.
