Smaug, he's not gay by Hudy_C

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Rakdos dragon-treasure deck built around Smaug the Impenetrable. The commander is both engine and finisher: his indestructible body turns noncombat damage into Treasures, which fuel either an infinite Pestilence/Pyrohemia loop or a critical mass of dragons and artifacts. Secondary paths are dragon beatdown with Utvara Hellkite and Scourge of Valkas, and a Hellkite Tyrant artifact win. Smaug the Magnificent acts as a hidden payoff, converting Treasure count into direct damage. The deck is fast when it finds a damage enchantment, but has no counterspells and only one protection piece, so it relies on speed and redundancy rather than stack interaction.
