Deck overview

This is a classic Golgari Elfball deck helmed by Lathril, Blade of the Elves. The plan is to flood the board with Elf mana dorks and token makers, then convert that critical mass into a lethal combat swing via Craterhoof Behemoth, Finale of Devastation, Coat of Arms, or Beastmaster Ascension. Lathril, Blade of the Elves accelerates the token engine through combat damage and provides an alternate non-combat finish by tapping ten Elves to drain the table. The deck layers efficient tribal lords, mana engines like Priest of Titania and Circle of Dreams Druid, and payoff enchantments (Doubling Season, Primal Vigor) to snowball quickly. Secondary lines include a large Torment of Hailfire fueled by Elf mana and incremental value from planeswalkers Tyvar Kell and Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury. It plays as a midrange tribal aggro deck that wants to go wide early and close before the table stabilizes.
