Mica Burns by RevThwack

Format: Commander

Commander: Mica, Reader of Ruins

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This mono-red spellslinger deck wins by stacking small damage triggers from casting instants and sorceries. Guttersnipe, Fiery Inscription, Firespitter Whelp, Queen Brahne tokens and Unruly Catapult each ping opponents, so every cheap spell becomes 4-6 damage to each opponent. Mica, Reader of Ruins is a value copy engine, not the win condition itself; she copies burn and card spells by sacrificing Junk, Treasure and other artifacts and gives your board Ward. The hidden commanders are Guttersnipe and Fiery Inscription, the repeatable drain engines the deck actually builds around. Secondary paths use burst mana from Mana Geyser and Seething Song and recursion from Underworld Breach to chain many spells in one turn.
