Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Halana and Alena, Partners lead a Gruul +1/+1 counter deck whose entire game plan is to convert a single enormous board into a table kill. The commander's combat trigger puts counters equal to its power on another creature and grants haste, letting freshly played hydras swing immediately. The deck layers redundant counter multipliers - Hardened Scales, Branching Evolution, Kami of Whispered Hopes, Benevolent Hydra, Ozolith, the Shattered Spire, High Score - with explosive engines like Kalonian Hydra, Unnatural Growth, Hydra's Growth, and Vigor to create 20+ power threats by turns 5-6. Finishers are Overwhelming Stampede, Soul Immolation, Krenko, Tin Street Kingpin goblin swarms, and Thundering Raiju burn. Card flow comes from Beast Whisperer, Toski, Bearer of Secrets, Garruk's Uprising, and Rishkar's Expertise. There are no infinite combos; the deck wins through combat inevitability, with a thin interaction suite that makes speed and threat density its only real defense.
