Kaalia of the Vast (Older Commander Deck) by GandalfTheBleu

Format: Commander

Commander: Kaalia of the Vast

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Kaalia of the Vast is an aggressive combat-commander designed to cheat Angels, Demons, and Dragons directly into the red zone. The deck accelerates into Kaalia with a suite of mana rocks, then uses her attack trigger to deploy enormous flyers for free. Extra combat enablers (Aurelia, the Warleader, Scourge of the Throne) chain multiple combat steps in a single turn, while damage doublers (Gisela, Blade of Goldnight, Twinflame Tyrant, Neriv, Heart of the Storm) multiply the pressure. The primary win condition is combat damage, often finishing all opponents in one explosive turn. Backup plans include Liliana's Contract with four different Demons, Helm of the Host on Aurelia for infinite combats, and Master of Cruelties+Kaalia to set a player to 1 life. The deck is built around Kaalia's ability; without her the strategy becomes a slower tribal goodstuff, but the 99 still packs value engines and reanimation.
