Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir Zombie tribal midrange strategy commanded by The Scarab God. It focuses on curving out resilient Zombie threats, generating token swarms, and using graveyard recursion. In the early turns, it builds a critical mass of creatures while fixing mana. Once The Scarab God enters the battlefield, its upkeep trigger converts Zombie board presence into unblockable life drain and card selection. The commander's activated ability steals key creatures from any graveyard as 4/4 Zombies, providing instant-speed interaction and army expansion. Secondary win conditions include aristocrat life drain from Diregraf Captain and Vengeful Dead, burst damage from Gray Merchant of Asphodel, and asymmetric board suppression via Noxious Ghoul. While the deck has high synergy and robust recovery against creature destruction, it has low instant-speed interaction and depends heavily on creature combat and board presence.
