Let me be that face! by Geurimja

Format: Commander

Commander: Shameless Charlatan and Faceless One

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Dimir (blue-black) deck is a flexible copy/thief strategy helmed by the Background pair Shameless Charlatan and Faceless One. The core plan is to deploy an overwhelming number of clone effects-Sakashima of a Thousand Faces, Phyrexian Metamorph, Clever Impersonator, and a dozen others-to copy the best creatures on the battlefield, steal opponents' threats with Gilded Drake and Thief of Sanity, and reuse ETB value via flicker engines like Conjurer's Closet and Displacer Kitten. The deck wins through combat damage from copied giants, mill via The Mindskinner, or drain from Syr Konrad, the Grim and Gray Merchant of Asphodel. It also packs a Dark Depths + Thespian's Stage combo for a 20/20 indestructible token. The deck is highly adaptive to the board but lacks fast combo and stack interaction, making it a value-oriented, nonlinear strategy that thrives on opponent's creatures.
