Deck overview

The deck uses Ekthi, Contaminator Priest to give every Equipment a living-weapon-style entry trigger. This turns cards such as Skullclamp, Captain's Claws, Nettlecyst, and Kaldra Compleat into both Equipment and creature production. Puresteel Paladin, Sram, Senior Edificer, Kíli the Resourceful, and Caretaker's Talent convert repeated Equipment entries into cards, while Armored Skyhunter, Captain America, Liberator, and Vulpine Harvester improve access and recovery. Fast mana can create strong openings, but the normal plan still needs several permanents before it becomes decisive. Its pressure is combat-based and usually begins around turn 8, with no reliable table-wide finish. Protection is better than the deck's closing speed: Teferi's Protection, Flawless Maneuver, Clever Concealment, and Dawn's Truce defend a developed board, but the setup remains vulnerable to removal and sweepers. The deck is a strong themed midrange build, not a cEDH combo or lock deck.
