Deck overview

This Orzhov deck uses Killian, Decisive Mentor to combine Aura enchantments, forced combat, and pillowfort defense into an aggressive political control strategy. Early turns establish mana and deploy Killian on turn 3. Starting on turn 4, casting Auras allows Killian to tap and goad opposing threats while drawing cards whenever enchanted creatures attack. The deck directs combat damage toward opponents using the Impetus Aura cycle, Ghostly Prison, Nils, Discipline Enforcer, and Combat Calligrapher. Meanwhile, engines like Archon of Sun's Grace, Ajani's Chosen, and Eriette of the Charmed Apple generate evasive token swarms and drain life totals at each end step. Targeted removal spells such as Anguished Unmaking, Sheltered by Ghosts, and asymmetric sweepers like Winds of Rath dismantle opposing strategies while keeping your enchanted board intact. The deck wins by depleting enemy life totals through forced mutual combat, relentless drain triggers, and overwhelming aerial swings.
