Deck overview

This is a Jund Lhurgoyf tribal deck helmed by Disa the Restless, built around the commander's two engines: her first ability reanimates any Lhurgoyf card that hits the graveyard from anywhere other than the battlefield, and her second creates a Tarmogoyf token whenever the deck connects in combat. The plan is to fill graveyards with card types - via Faithless Looting, Hermit Druid, Barrowgoyf, Grist, the Hunger Tide, and Syr Konrad, the Grim - to grow the Lhurgoyf pack (Tarmogoyf, Nethergoyf, Polygoyf, Pyrogoyf, Mortivore, Necrogoyf) into massive beaters. Maskwood Nexus makes every creature a Lhurgoyf, supercharging Disa's reanimation. The deck wins primarily through combat damage from an overwhelming Lhurgoyf board, supplemented by Syr Konrad's drain and Pyrogoyf's ETB damage. A cascade package (Bloodbraid Elf, Bloodbraid Challenger, Bituminous Blast) provides card advantage, while Buried Alive is the key tutor that dumps three Lhurgoyfs for Disa to reanimate at once.
