Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius midrange strategy led by Raff Capashen, Ship's Mage. It uses Raff's flash ability to cast artifacts, legendaries, and Sagas at instant speed. The primary game plan develops efficient mana ramp and cost reducers in the early turns, establishing Raff alongside card advantage engines like Ephara, God of the Polis and Crystal Skull, Isu Spyglass. By holding up mana on opponents' turns, the deck threatens counterspells or flash deployments. It pivots into critical onset on Turn 6 by flashing in overwhelming flying threats and combat multipliers like Sephara, Sky's Blade, True Conviction, or casting Storm Herd. Opponents face continuous pressure from an evasive aerial fleet protected by countermagic and Flare of Fortitude, closing the table across two combat cycles by Turn 8.
