Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari Food and Aristocrats strategy led by Ygra, Eater of All. Ygra turns every other creature on the battlefield into a Food artifact in addition to its other types. This unique static ability turns symmetrical artifact sweepers like Creeping Corrosion and Fade from History into one-sided board wipes that destroy all opposing creatures while leaving Ygra unharmed. Each destroyed creature puts two +1/+1 counters onto Ygra, rapidly inflating the commander into a lethal threat that eliminates players in one hit. The deck supports this aggressive Voltron plan with passive death drain from Bastion of Remembrance, token generation from Camellia, the Seedmiser, and evasion equipment such as Whispersilk Cloak. While the deck lacks instant-speed stack interaction and dedicated tutors, its built-in Ward protection and overwhelming board wipes make it a resilient midrange combat engine.
