Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet coin-flip and spellslinger list commanded by Yusri, Fortune's Flame. The primary strategy accelerates mana in the opening turns to deploy Yusri early, using artifact tutors like Fabricate, Tribute Mage, and Muddle the Mixture to assemble crucial support pieces such as Krark's Thumb, Shadowspear, and Basilisk Collar. Lifelink equipment neutralizes Yusri's self-damage while drawing multiple cards per combat. On Turn 6, the deck achieves critical onset through Edgar, King of Figaro, which guarantees winning all five flips to cast hand spells for free, or through Okaun, Eye of Chaos dealing exponential lethal combat damage. Payoffs like Psychosis Crawler, Niv-Mizzet, Parun, and Guttersnipe convert massive card draw into lethal table-wide burn. Efficient countermagic such as Fierce Guardianship and Counterspell protects the engine, while Cyclonic Rift clears blockers and opposing threats to ensure a decisive finish by Turn 8.
