EREBOS by initt0

Format: Commander

Commander: Erebos, God of the Dead

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Mono-black devotion and big-mana control. The primary plan is to assemble a swamp-based mana engine (Cabal Coffers, Crypt Ghast, Nykthos, Nyx Lotus), then finish the table with Exsanguinate or Torment of Hailfire, usually doubled by Bloodletter/Wound Reflection. A secondary reanimation plan uses Living Death, Sheoldred's saga, and Chainer to retrigger Gray Merchant and Kokusho. Erebos supplies repeatable card draw and suppresses opponent lifegain; he is an enabler rather than the sole engine. There is no hidden commander among the double-faced cards; Sheoldred // The True Scriptures is a powerful value/reanimation tool in the 99, not the focal plan.
