Deck overview

This is a Selesnya lifegain-and-populate deck helmed by Trostani, Selesnya's Voice, built to convert every creature entering the battlefield into a life buffer and every successful populate into an ever-growing board. The engine chains small lifegain triggers (Soul Warden, Suture Priest, Prosperous Innkeeper) into massive payoffs like Archangel of Thune, Nykthos Paragon, Crested Sunmare, and Resplendent Angel. Trostani's populate ability doubles the best token on board each turn, and token-doubling effects like Rhys the Redeemed, Bramble Sovereign, and Conclave Evangelist let the board spiral out of control. The primary win conditions are combat damage from a gigantic token army, an Aetherflux Reservoir life-total kill, and the Halo Fountain alternate win. The deck also carries disruptive elements like Path to Exile, Swords to Plowshares, and Pest Infestation to protect its engine.
