Ant Swarm by MajorPvtDonut

Commander: The Astonishing Ant-Man

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Simic +1/+1 counters and tokens midrange deck helmed by The Astonishing Ant-Man. The core loop draws cards to stack counters on Ant-Man (and supporting bodies), then converts those counters into 1/1 Insect tokens while multiplying growth via Hardened Scales, Branching Evolution, and Doubling Season. Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive turns the Insect swarm unblockable for efficient multiplayer damage, while Simic Ascendancy offers an alternate non-combat win. Secondary engines include draw-to-counter payoffs (Wizard Class, Baxter, Fly in the Ointment, Ravenhill Flock), big finishers like Tanazir Quandrix and Sab-Sunen, Luxa Embodied, and value from Consecrated Sphinx plus Nissa, Who Shakes the World. The deck wins through overwhelming combat or Ascendancy rather than infinite combos, leaning on dense cantrips and counter synergies at a low average mana value.
