Deck overview

This Simic deck focuses on a classic +1/+1 counter and midrange combat game plan led by The Goose Mother. The strategy establishes early mana and utility creatures before casting The Goose Mother as a scalable, evasive flying threat that generates Food tokens on entry. Each subsequent turn, attacking with the commander and sacrificing Food converts tokens into steady card draw, replenishing resources while growing the board. The deck enhances its creature army with counter distributors like Lifecrafter's Gift, Ivy Lane Denizen, and Knight of Wundagore, applying steady pressure across the table. It also features a two-card infinite creature combo with Ivy Lane Denizen and Scurry Oak as a potent alternative win condition. While the deck boasts high land reliability and strong combat scaling, its lack of nonland tutors and fast mana means it plays at an honest, on-curve pace vulnerable to board wipes.
