Deck overview

This Golgari deck is built around the Shadowheart + Cloakwood Hermit pairing. Cloakwood Hermit turns every creature death into two Squirrel tokens, while Shadowheart converts large creatures and spare tokens into huge bursts of card draw. The primary plan is to grind into an infinite sacrifice loop-usually Chatterfang, Squirrel General plus Pitiless Plunderer and Viscera Seer-and close with Blood Artist effects. Secondary lines include Devoted Druid + Hazel's Brewmaster for infinite green mana, and Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord sacrificing a life-pumped Wall of Blood for a one-shot kill. Hazel of the Rootbloom acts as a hidden commander-like extra engine in the 99, and Meren/recursion spells provide grind insurance.
