Deck overview

This deck is a five-color Eldrazi token swarm strategy commanded by Azlask, the Swelling Scourge. Its central game plan focuses on generating large quantities of 0/1 Eldrazi Spawn and 1/1 Eldrazi Scion tokens through cards like Awakening Zone, Path of Annihilation, Catacomb Sifter, and Emrakul's Hatcher. As these colorless creatures die or are sacrificed for mana velocity, Azlask accumulates permanent experience counters. Once a critical mass of tokens and counters is reached, the deck activates Azlask's {W}{U}{B}{R}{G} ability, granting all creatures a massive power and toughness boost along with indestructible and annihilator 1 for all Scions and Spawns. Supporting synergy cards like Glaring Fleshraker, Minthara, Merciless Soul, Meren of Clan Nel Toth, and Echoes of Eternity provide supplemental burn, secondary anthems, and continuous creature recursion. The deck closes games around Turn 8 through overwhelming, indestructible combat steps that decimate opposing permanents and life totals simultaneously.
