Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari graveyard midrange strategy that uses Winter, Cynical Opportunist to cheat high-cost permanents into play. The deck focuses on accelerating its mana on Turns 1 and 2 while milling diverse card types into the graveyard. By mixing artifact lands, kindred spells, planeswalkers, and enchantments, it rapidly enables delirium. On Turn 4, Winter enters and immediately returns a game-ending threat like Giant Adephage or Demolisher Spawn at the end step. The deck pressures opponents through combat damage, wide token generation, and incidental sacrifice effects from cards like Osseous Sticktwister and Butcher of Malakir. While the strategy features strong redundancy in secondary reanimation engines such as Meren of Clan Nel Toth and Dread Return, it carries little instant-speed stack protection and remains susceptible to targeted graveyard exile and board sweepers.
