Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Reanimator Midrange strategy that leverages graveyard velocity, discard synergies, and high-impact payoffs. Commanded by Kefka, Court Mage, the list functions both as an asymmetric discard engine and a traditional reanimator deck. Early turns focus on depositing devastating threats like Archon of Cruelty, Hoarding Broodlord, and Lord Xander, the Collector into the graveyard via Entomb or Buried Alive. Low-cost recursion such as Reanimate and Animate Dead cheat these threats into play ahead of curve to dismantle opposing resources and establish board dominance. Kefka supplies card advantage by capitalizing on symmetrical discards, refilling your hand while depleting opponents. Without infinite combos, the deck closes games by compounding combat damage, copying large threats with Saw in Half, and wiping blockers with Archfiend of Ifnir or Toxic Deluge. It offers high resilience and independent redundancy, though it remains vulnerable to targeted graveyard hate.
