Deck overview

This Sultai deck utilizes Thranduil, the Elvenking as a versatile graveyard combo outlet. Thranduil inherits all activated abilities of Elf cards in the graveyard. By tutoring Devoted Druid and Greenhilt Trainee into the graveyard with cards like Buried Alive or Entomb, Thranduil creates an infinite loop: Trainee's ability buffs Thranduil's power and toughness by +4/+4, and Devoted Druid's ability untaps him for the cost of a -1/-1 counter. This yields infinite power, infinite toughness, and infinite green mana. The deck then uses Deepwood Denizen to draw the entire library and win on the spot with Thassa's Oracle or Finale of Devastation. Backed by a compact secondary win condition in Demonic Consultation and a robust suite of free countermagic, the deck delivers consistent turn 4 victories with strong resilience against disruption.
