Deck overview

This Grixis deck is piloted by Anhelo, the Painter and maximizes synergy between Unearth, Casualty, and Raid mechanics. The strategy leverages cheap mana rocks on early turns to deploy Anhelo by Turn 3. On Turn 4, the deck brings back temporary unearth creatures with power 2 or greater, attacks to trigger Raid abilities, and sacrifices those creatures to Casualty before they exile at end of turn. This generates substantial card velocity through copied spells like A Little Chat and Cut of the Profits. By Turn 6, the deck transitions into a lethal threat state, recurring powerful threats like Cityscape Leveler, Terisian Mindbreaker, and Tri-Sentinel, Act of Vengeance while draining opponents with Mishra, Claimed by Gix and Molten Gatekeeper. The deck overcomes spot removal through natural graveyard resilience and closes games around Turn 8 through wide haste attacks and life loss.
