Deck overview

This Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow deck is an aggressive tempo and burn strategy designed to pressure all three opponents simultaneously. The deck curves a high density of evasive 0- and 1-mana creatures into a guaranteed Turn 2 Commander Ninjutsu activation, putting Yuriko directly onto the battlefield attacking. Each combat damage connection triggers Yuriko's ability to put the top card of the library into hand while draining all opponents equal to its mana value. The deck capitalizes on high-mana-value spells with built-in cost reduction—such as Draco, Shadow of Mortality, Temporal Trespass, and delve spells—to deal bursts of 8 to 16 damage per trigger. Supported by efficient interaction, free counterspells, and topdeck manipulation like Brainstorm and Insatiable Avarice, the deck establishes a rapid clock that closes the game around Turn 5.
