Deck overview

This Dimir deck combines Horror kindred synergy, mill engines, and graveyard theft under the leadership of Captain N'ghathrod. The strategy develops early mana reducers and low-cost Horrors before deploying the commander on Turn 5. Menace attacks mill opposing libraries and trigger Captain N'ghathrod to reanimate the strongest opposing creature or artifact each turn. In the mid-to-late game, massive threats such as Consuming Aberration, Guiltfeeder, and Uchuulon apply heavy combat pressure, supported by extra-turn spells like Expropriate and Karn's Temporal Sundering to bypass opponent defenses. Proactive pieces like Ashiok, Dream Render and Toxrill, the Corrosive restrict opposing searches and suppress creature boards. The deck also contains an alternate infinite win condition through Bloodchief Ascension and Mindcrank.
