Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet Combo-Control strategy centered on Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind. The primary win condition pairs the commander with Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, or Tandem Lookout to trigger an infinite draw-damage loop that eliminates all three opponents in a single turn. Backing up this primary route is the classic Splinter Twin combo with Deceiver Exarch or Pestermite for infinite hasty attackers. The surrounding shell uses card selection, board control, and deathtouch pinger engines using Basilisk Collar and Gorgon Flail to manage opposing creatures. With 32 lands and light ramp, the deck operates at a measured pace, aiming to stabilize the board before deploying its commander on Turn 6 and executing a decisive win on Turn 7.
