Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck, helmed by Kefka, Court Mage // Kefka, Ruler of Ruin, is a discard-and-drain control strategy that pressures opponents through forced discards, symmetrical wheels, and life-loss payoffs. The front side of the commander triggers discard on entry/attack and draws cards based on the card types discarded, refilling your hand while depleting opponents. The back side turns into a flying threat that draws cards whenever opponents lose life during your turn, accelerating into a card-advantage engine. Primary win conditions include the infinite mill combo of Bloodchief Ascension + Mindcrank, repeated life loss from Megrim / Liliana's Caress alongside wheels like Wheel of Fortune and Windfall, and attritional damage from Sheoldred, the Apocalypse and Tergrid, God of Fright. Reanimation spells like Living Death and Reanimate provide resilience and creature recurrence.
