expensive lathiel by user9969024

Format: Commander

Commander: Lathiel, the Bounteous Dawn

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Lathiel, the Bounteous Dawn turns every life-gain trigger into +1/+1 counters at end step. The primary plan is to play cheap lifegain creatures, deploy Lathiel early, then convert that life into an ever-growing board. Secondary paths are the life-total wins from Felidar Sovereign and Angel of Destiny, plus Walking Ballista as a counter sink that keeps being refilled by Lathiel. Cathars' Crusade, Conclave Mentor, Kami of Whispered Hopes, and Crested Sunmare amplify the counter board. Abzan Falconer, Tuskguard Captain, and Champion of Lambholt give the huge board evasion. The deck has no double-faced commander and no hidden commander; it is built around Lathiel's single face.
