Deck overview

This deck is a high-tempo Mono-Red Discard and Voltron strategy led by Jiang Yanggu, Alone. The game plan revolves around casting early artifact ramp to deploy Jiang on Turn 4, then leveraging his unique combat trigger to turn discard mechanics into massive +1/+1 counter buffs. By pairing solo attacks with high-impact wheels like Wheel of Misfortune, Reforge the Soul, and Change of Fortune, Jiang quickly scales into a lethal attacker. The deck closes out games through extra combat spells, evasion, and damage multipliers like Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar and Chandra's Ignition, while backing up its threats with efficient redirection spells like Deflecting Swat. It also retains an infinite combat backup win condition via Neheb, the Eternal and Aggravated Assault.
