Deck overview

Chatterfang, Squirrel General commands a Golgari token aristocrats and swarm deck designed to overwhelm opponents through massive token production and versatile board control. The deck's primary strategy revolves around deploying Chatterfang early and pairing him with token producers such as Chitterspitter, Quina, Qu Gourmet, and Academy Manufactor to rapidly build a squirrel army. Chatterfang converts this token generation into repeatable, instant-speed creature removal by sacrificing Squirrels to shrink opposing threats. The deck finishes games through explosive overrun effects like Beastmaster Ascension and End-Raze Forerunners, table-wide life drain via Zulaport Cutthroat and Nadier's Nightblade, or an infinite token loop using Ivy Lane Denizen and Scurry Oak. While the deck possesses potent draw power through Plumb the Forbidden and Shamanic Revelation, it lacks dedicated creature tutors and countermagic, leaving it vulnerable to mass board wipes.
