Deck overview

This is a mono-black discard-and-attrition deck helmed by Tergrid, God of Fright // Tergrid's Lantern. The core plan forces opponents to discard cards and sacrifice permanents through a dense suite of edicts, symmetrical discard enchantments, and hand-attack spells, then capitalizes with Tergrid, God of Fright's trigger to steal the discarded permanents and sacrificed nontokens. Secondary pressure comes from discard payoffs (Megrim, Raiders' Wake, Fell Specter, Waste Not) that drain life or generate tokens/mana/cards, plus heavy resource denial via Death Cloud, Pox, Smallpox, and Pox Plague. The Lantern back face offers a repeatable sacrifice/discard engine when the creature half is inconvenient. The deck wins by emptying hands, collapsing boards, and either beating down with stolen permanents or finishing with drain and mass-sacrifice effects. It is a classic midrange stax-attrition list rather than a combo deck.
