Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black Voltron Control strategy built around Loot, the Anomaly. Loot features a unique combat ability: whenever his power is negative, he deals positive combat damage equal to that absolute value. The deck weaponizes this mechanic by running cards that reduce power, such as Belbe's Armor, Clinging Darkness, and Greel's Caress, turning conventional debuffs into massive offensive buffs. Low-cost equipment like Brotherhood Regalia, Thieves' Tools, and Skeleton Key make Loot unblockable because low or negative power easily bypasses power-based blocking restrictions. Meanwhile, the deck controls the battlefield with an array of toughness-reducing sweepers like Cry of the Carnarium, Malicious Eclipse, and Toxic Deluge, which wipe away opposing utility creatures and tokens while preserving Loot's resilient 4 toughness.
