Deck overview

This colorless deck harnesses Ultima, Origin of Oblivion as both an explosive mana multiplier and an asymmetric land disruption engine. By accelerating in the first three turns with efficient mana rocks like Sol Ring, Mind Stone, and Basalt Monolith, the deck consistently casts Ultima on Turn 4. Once Ultima attacks on Turn 5, it places blight counters on key opposing utility lands, converting them into basic colorless sources while doubling the mana output of all friendly colorless lands. This massive surge of mana deploys game-ending threats ahead of schedule, including Krang, Utrom Warlord, Portal to Phyrexia, and Kozilek, the Broken Reality. The deck protects its heavy investments with equipment like Lightning Greaves and Mithril Coat, while Forsaken Monument provides an alternate mana engine and an infinite mana loop with Basalt Monolith. The deck overwhelms opponents with giant, evasive, indestructible artifact creatures.
