Deck overview

This Esper deck pairs control and card advantage with compact combo finishes. Commanded by Saruman of Many Colors, the list uses early acceleration and card engines like Rhystic Study, Mystic Remora, and Esper Sentinel to maintain resource parity while deploying disruptive interaction. The primary game plan seeks to assemble and resolve Thassa's Oracle alongside Demonic Consultation, winning the game on the stack as early as Turn 4. Proactive protection pieces like Grand Abolisher, Silence, and Ranger-Captain of Eos shield this win attempt from opposing disruption. If the primary line is contested or unavailable, the deck pivots into an independent infinite-damage combo featuring Heliod, Sun-Crowned and Walking Ballista, or grinds out the late game with high-impact threats like Archmage of Runes, Lord of the Void, and Saruman of Many Colors. A comprehensive suite of counterspells and efficient removal keeps opposing proactive strategies in check throughout the match.
